In a surprising collaboration that breaks usual expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Uncovered
According to the formal release, "A mysterious confrontation leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where whispers of prohibited rituals and fearsome changes resonate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden sect.
The questline centers on "bizarre experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Changes
The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a striking scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
